Does Ledger Live require an email and password?+
No. Ledger Wallet (formerly Ledger Live) does not have an email-and-password login. Connect your Ledger hardware wallet and unlock it using its PIN.
What if I forget my PIN?+
After three incorrect PIN attempts, the device resets. You can restore access only with your Secret Recovery Phrase. If you do not have that phrase, your assets cannot be restored.
Can I use Ledger Wallet on multiple devices?+
Yes. Install the official app on each device and add your accounts individually. Your private keys remain protected by your Ledger hardware wallet.
Why was Ledger Live renamed Ledger Wallet?+
Ledger Wallet reflects the app’s broader role in managing crypto and related services, beyond portfolio tracking.
What should I do if a site asks for my Ledger password or recovery phrase?+
Close it. There is no Ledger Wallet password. Never type or share your Secret Recovery Phrase on a website, in an app, or with support staff.
Can I use Ledger Wallet without a hardware wallet?+
The app is a companion interface for Ledger hardware wallets. A device is needed to access and sign transactions for Ledger-protected accounts.
